Hormonalmetabolic
AOD9604
AOD9604 is a 16-amino acid C-terminal fragment of human growth hormone (residues 176-191 with N-terminal tyrosine substitution) designed to retain lipolytic properties while eliminating proliferative signaling. Unlike intact HGH, AOD9604 does not compete for the GH receptor, does not stimulate IGF-1 production, and does not induce cell proliferation. Research demonstrates its activation of hormone-sensitive lipase and inhibition of acetyl-CoA carboxylase in adipose tissue, with enhancement of beta-3 adrenergic receptor expression contributing to increased lipolytic sensitivity. Its selective metabolic profile makes it valuable for studying fat oxidation pathways independent of growth hormone signaling.
