What actually happens to my order at customs?

Accepted Answer

For an EU delivery, nothing happens at customs at all: all 27 member states share one customs union, so a parcel moving between them never faces a border check or an extra charge. For the United Kingdom, Norway or any of our other non-EU destinations, the parcel goes through that destination's own import process on arrival, and it is the local delivery partner, not us, who contacts you if import VAT or a handling fee is due, typically through an online payment link that is settled before the parcel is released rather than cash on the doorstep. We have explained this exact mechanic to a UK customer who asked precisely this: above a certain order value, the courier collects UK import VAT plus a small handling fee this way, and the parcel is held until it is paid.

Question 2

What happens if my parcel is seized or confiscated at the border?

Accepted Answer

We refund it in full. That is our standing policy for every destination we currently ship to: if a parcel is confiscated or destroyed at the border, you get the complete purchase price back, and because a seizure proves that destination will catch this kind of shipment, we do not attempt to reship the same order there. We have applied exactly this policy for a real case, an order to Iceland that was confiscated at the border, where we told the customer directly that once customs holds a parcel we cannot get it released or returned, so a full refund follows. The one exception is Norway, which ships on different, own risk terms, covered in the next question.

Question 3

Which countries or territories can't you ship to, and why?

Accepted Answer

Switzerland and Liechtenstein are excluded because several of the peptides we sell, including BPC-157 and TB-500, are individually named on the current WADA Prohibited List, and Swiss anti-doping law carries no small-quantity allowance for personal use the way ordinary medicines law does: any amount is treated as prohibited. Swiss authorities' own published guidance states that a seized parcel is destroyed and the recipient is billed a fee, and Liechtenstein shares Switzerland's customs union and the same medicines law, so it is not a separate case. The one parcel we have sent to Switzerland was in fact turned back by DHL at the German export hub before it reached the Swiss border, and we refunded the customer in full with no fee on either side, so we cannot say how an actual Swiss customs seizure would play out for us, only that the described penalty applies to whoever is caught. Iceland is different: it actually allows private medicine imports by post from the EU, but it specifically bans the same WADA listed substances by post regardless of origin, which covers most of our catalogue. The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are excluded for an unrelated reason: as Spanish territories outside the EU customs union, a parcel addressed there is legally a non-EU import rather than an intra-EU delivery, while mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands remain inside the union and ship normally. Turkey was closed in August 2026: Turkish customs treats peptide parcels as medicine or supplement imports and releases them only against a Turkish prescription or a broker-filed import declaration, neither of which is possible for research peptides, so parcels are held and then automatically returned to sender.

Question 4

What does "ships at your own risk" mean for Norway?

Accepted Answer

It means Norway is the one destination where, unlike the seizure policy above, we do not refund or reship if customs seize the parcel. Norway screens incoming parcels for this kind of product sent by post, and that risk is disclosed on the shipping page itself rather than left to fine print: if your order is stopped at the Norwegian border, it is not something we can get back for you or replace. We reopened Norway in June 2026 after the same customer who had already received one Norway order successfully asked us directly why Norway had stopped showing at checkout, and we told them in writing about the own risk, no refund terms before they placed their next order. Every Norway order still carries that standing risk, and it is the customer's own call to accept it.

Question 5

Why is Melanotan-2 excluded from UK orders when everything else ships there?

Accepted Answer

Because Melanotan-2 is the one product in our catalogue that carries a specific MHRA warning in the UK, making it the highest seizure risk of anything we sell into that market. Every other product ships to the UK normally. If your cart contains Melanotan-2 and a UK delivery address, checkout rejects the order outright rather than letting it fail at the border instead.

Question 6

My tracking hasn't updated in days, is something wrong?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. DHL scans commonly pause for a few business days while a parcel sits at a hub or crosses into another country's network, especially outside the EU, and a quiet stretch by itself does not mean something has gone wrong. Our own published transit times already allow for this: 1 to 2 business days within Germany, 2 to 4 for the rest of the EU, and 8 to 14 outside the EU plus customs clearance, so a gap of a day or two inside that window is normal. If there has been no new scan for 5 or more business days, contact support with your order number and tracking code so we can open an enquiry with DHL directly.

Question 7

My parcel spent days in transit without refrigeration. Is that a problem?

Accepted Answer

No. Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides do not need a cold chain: freeze-drying removes the water that drives peptide degradation, so the sealed dry powder tolerates normal parcel transit of days to weeks at ambient temperature. This is how the industry operates: peptide manufacturers ship lyophilized vials at room temperature as standard, a peer-reviewed study reported months of room-temperature stability for a lyophilized therapeutic peptide (teriparatide, PMID 26620825), and FDA labeling allows an Ozempic (semaglutide) pen, after first use, to remain unrefrigerated for 56 days at 15 to 30°C, and a Mounjaro (tirzepatide) pen for up to 21 days at up to 30°C, even though these are ready-mixed solutions rather than sealed dry powder. What actually needs care is the reconstituted vial: once mixed, store it in the fridge and use it within the recommended window.
